It’s in a space that used to be the Chateau Theater, and still uses the dark blue ceilings with constellation lights and castle pieces. In other news, I love the Barnes and Noble here. Definitely get a Magnificent Muffin and a pannekoek if you’re here! Check them out on Yelp or at their website! Overall, a really nice little place to catch breakfast if you’re in Rochester. Hash browns and mettwurst and some veggies with hollandaise sauce. The Dutch Skillet was tasty, but nothing too special. They even offered a seasonal pumpkin flavor. I really liked the texture of the pannekoek – it was more eggy than a normal pancake, kind of like a sweet omelette but much lighter and fluffier. A pannekoek is a Northern European style of pancake that is baked in the oven, and is what the restaurant is named for. We split a Dutch Skillet and a Blueberry Pannekoek. They offer Magnificent Muffins that truly look magnificent! We got the Blackberry Cream flavor, and it was delicious. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my camera all the way here so all these photos are iPhone shots. We started with some coffee and some delicious spiced cider.

It was still early in the morning when we arrived, so the restaurant was mostly empty.

I was very grateful for the Skyway and Subway, because it was freezing cold. We stayed an extra day in Rochester while visiting the Mayo Clinic and decided to see what its food scene had to offer! Fred found Pannekoeken on Yelp, so we took the winding Skyway system to check it out.
